As a side note to respond to an earlier post, I have never had a problem in this neighborhood. On weekends, servers push carts of food around the room for guests to choose from. Paid outdoor parking is available at the end of the block, indoor parking a few blocks away in old Chinatown, but in summer on sunny days take the water taxi and walk the few blocks to the back of the New Chinatown shopping center, pass through the central outdoor rear entrance into the shopping center (a great place to buy your tea), crossing the plaza to Archer Avenue and you will see The Phoenix across the street. Furama There are many places to get dim sum in Chicago but very few are still doing it like Furama. The dim sum is served all day, but you should hit it up earlier on the weekends when everything is being made fresh. As a child she would go to Chinatown in New York for weekend dim sum and I was spoiled by dim sum in San Francisco's Chinatown when I lived near there. My wife and I just returned to the Phoenix for their dim sum as it is the best that we have found in the Midwest.
